2007 is coming up and possibly a week or two from now we will be hearing announcements from politicians that will be running for president. So front runners for the democratic party, who do you think they will be and who has a chance at going all the way?My Picks: Hillary Clinton, Obama (still don't think he can beat out Hillary right this moment though) and John Edwards (has a decent shot).

Im not too excited about either one of these. Can't the Democrats to better than this?

Well you could include others like Bill Richardson and I guess can't include Kerry anymore, maybe Gore too. Really depends on what you are looking for. (liberal, more left-center, etc.)

Congrats: you've identified a problem, but what suggestions/solutions do you have?
While I'm not too excited about Hillary because of her past baggage and the notion of a monarchy (Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton?), Obama has some great potential. I like Edwards a lot, but I completely disagree with his stance on civil rights (gay marriage, although I'm straight, is a big deal to me because in my faith, I can't get married if others cannot also be married, and my partner really wants to get married). I love what Kucinich stands for, but for some reason (reasons I don't understand) he never seems to be a majority player.
Majority rule definitely has its downsides, but what's better?
