Just introducing myself. I'm a leftist libertarian (in the vein of Gandhi), semi-Buddhist looking for intelligent conversation for those who don't really share my worldview. A lot of times, what happens in the world perplexes me; I find some people to act against their own interests and that seems to me to be stupid. But I know these people aren't stupid, so I want to not judge them, but better understand where they're coming from.I find that on my own blog and things like that, I tend to get a lot of positive feedback, which is all well and good, but I want to see other perspectives and challenge my own.All in all, I don't want a yelling match or anything like that, I just want to understand others' perspectives so I can put my own into context.Additionally, I'm a compulsive grammarnazi. Please, for the love of everything holy, know how to write, or else my asshole side will kick in and I will complete miss/dismiss what you have to say. I don't want that, but I also am not very good at guessing what the hell someone is talking about unless they write comprehensibly. If I talk with marbles in my mouth, I shouldn't expect you to understand me. Please have the same amount of respect for me. I've guessed a lot (a lot is TWO words) in the past, and I usually guess wrong. Vet things through Word, it is a great programme. Oh, and I use international English spellings. Whatever. I'm consistent about it.

Ooo, what an interesting dialect! Is that H@X0r-ese? This is an increasingly common written language, but I've hardly heard it spoken.
[takes off nerdy glasses]
Why good sir, I believe it is referred to as "leet speak." Son of a bitch, I cannot type in an apostrophe.
