I have noticed that the media are focusing on muslims in particular. I feel this is very damaging to all communities as a whole. We never here of criminals being described as christians or jewish or european. The media must be careful how they describe stories and people more I think. They have a big responsibility because of the power they hold to influence the public.

Which instances are you talking about though? Such as with the pope, he did anger Muslims and it wasn't Christians, jews or Europeans as was the same with the danish cartoon.

So, the Holy Father pissed off the muslims this time which is probably due to the fact that he was talking about the muslims this time rather than about his fellow Christians or the Jews, for that matter. Same argument applies to the case of the Danish cartoon - surely it couldn't have offended anyone elses but muslims' religious sentiments. After all, the prophet Mohammed has no significance in other religions apart from Islam, does he?

I was just saying it was a specific group though I don't see how much the media can do in that regard.

I disagree, it is our responsibility to make a group look less sophisticated then us, like say the Jews. It worked brilliant for Hitler in almost taking over the world. In a time of great distress we may need to use that strategy again so lets not burn our bridge
