    Political Yard v2.0

    Posted Feb 29, 2008 - 6:11 pm by charliepage 272 views
Ironically of all things, my thoughts for the new and improved Political Yard came from a CMS I've been working on. Almost all my sites except two run on it and it's a very flexible system. (check it out - http://www.adaptcms.com)
I started to think about the possibilities of Political Yard running on it. It would let me, basically, control the entire website easily from a reliable system. Long story short, I made an RSS Importer and thus began v2.0.

Right now there isn't much that you can really tell a difference from, that was the idea. The forums are running on a MUCH newer version of the forum software (but is not a final version, so please let me know of any issues) and then the CMS itself.

In the coming weeks or so I will be submitting the website to directories, email sites for link exchanges, submit news and such and more to get some popularity. You will see a return of the War News page, but improved. Other things such as a news gallery, the possibility of "user" news and so much more!

I hope you all enjoy what we have in store, the possibilities of the CMS are very high and I am very excited to expand and improve Political Yard. Thanks!
